Hawkins shows off latest lingerie trends.
Jennifer Hawkins says wearing the right lingerie under your clothes can make a woman feel sexy all day long.
“I think it’s just about trying things on and seeing what you love and what you feel confident and comfortable in, and sort of rocking it,” she said at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival at Sydney’s Town Hall on Tuesday night.
“And what you feel cheeky in – I think that’s the biggest thing.
“It’s underneath your clothes so it makes you feel sexy throughout the day.”
Hawkins says when it comes to style, women should choose lingerie that makes them feel good.
The Australian model showed off her stunning figure for the Bendon Lingerie catwalk parade in the latest looks in the under-garment department.
Hawkins took to the runway in a snake and vibrant pink Lovable bra and brief set.
For spring and summer, Hawkins says colours are hot.
“Beautiful lace and trims always change different seasons but definitely colour is the biggest trend for summer, which I’m loving.”
Her number one lingerie tip for Australian women is to get a bra fitting.
“The right size is very, very important. That’s my biggest tip,” Hawkins says.
“Your body goes up and down so it’s nice to get fitted by a professional and then you know what size you are because you change.
“Your body changes month to month around different times and squeezing into the same size year in year out … you might be too big for it or too small, so it’s definitely important.”
The new Bendon Lingerie range showcased a wide variety of bras to suit most body shapes, from push-ups and wire-free, to the fun, feminine Evollove D to G collection.
Lacy Elle Macpherson Intimates were on display, along with tiny striped cotton trunks from Macpherson Men.
Wearing black lace blindfolds, the models also showed off the new Pleasure State pieces, which included a Cleopatre balconnet contour bra and “midi” brief in an earthy print, as well as a black Grecia baby doll dress for special evenings.
There was plenty of red lace and polka dots by Lovable; Bendon offered a touch of fuchsia; while sheer black pieces and sweet bows were across the entire collection.
Wearing a sexy, white corset, with pink touches to the tips of her golden curls, Hawkins closed the show by blowing a cheeky kiss to the audience.

A Young Sunshine Coast model, a prominent modelling agency and a child psychologist have weighed into a heated debate about how young is too young to enter the cut-throat world of fashion modelling.Controversy was sparked following the announcement that 13-year-old Brisbane schoolgirl Kirsty Thatcher won the 2012 Dolly magazine search contest. The competition was famously axed by former editor Mia Freedman just years after the discovery of Miranda Kerr in 1997, because she thought 13-year-olds were too young to enter. Now a decade on and it seems Miss Thatcher will follow in Kerr’s footsteps as the youngest of six finalists selected from thousands of teenage girls around the country, starting up the child beauty war once again.
Last Monday, while the fashion world waited with bated breath for Raf Simons’ debut at Dior, Alex Yuryeva had a backstage sneak peak at one of the most highly anticipated couture collections in recent memory. “I was superexcited to see the clothes because we’ve all been waiting for over a year, thinking ‘Who’s it going to be?,’” Yuryeva (Silent Models) told WWD over the phone after the show. “He brings something entirely new. It’s a nice change for Dior.” We got the inside scoop from the Ukrainian stunner on everything from the packed casting to the Dior Red lip.
The winds of change are blowing through the grand salons of the French haute couture houses: the era of theatricality and the big catwalk shows is gradually being replaced by a mood of intimacy and exclusivity as the couturiers take the models off the podiums and present the clothes up close and personal.
She may not actually have anything to do with the movie but she made a red carpet entrance that grabbed everyone’s attention.
It’s all about the muse – Arizona Muse, that is. Not content with gracing the covers of Korean, Australian, French, Russian and British Vogue, the model is now the new face of Estée Lauder. Born in Arizona and aptly named after the desert state, Ms Muse’s ascent to the top has been swift to say the least. After modelling in Chanel, Armani and Dior SS12 couture shows, she caught the eye of fashion industry heavyweights and is now tipped to be the next big supermodel (remember, you heard it here first!). And with Estée Lauder now bagging the beauty, she’ll join the extensive list of glamorous ladies who’ve previously represented the brand, including Elizabeth Hurley and Joan Smalls. So with the world at her feet, we’re sure Arizona’s name will soon be on everyone’s lips.
A hot air balloon floated over downtown Bucharest on Tuesday carrying a model wearing what is now regarded as the world’s longest bridal train.
